BELLAPHON is a symphonic progressive rock group from Kyoto. Their music style is close to Camel with a little bit of jazz-rock thrown in for good measure. Their first album Firefly was released in the '80s during what was regarded as the "Golden Age of Japanese Progressive Rock". During this period, many excellent groups such as Outer Limits and Pageant were prominent. This album captures that aura of this period perfectly. BELLAPHON released a second album entitled Delphi which consists of previously unreleased tracks. They are still active and play just as well as they did in the '80s.
