Wikipedia:
Whitesnake are an English hard rock band, founded in 1977 by David Coverdale (formerly of Deep Purple). The band's early material has been compared by critics to Deep Purple but by the mid eighties Whitesnake had moved away from the early blues-rock influenced heavy metal to a more commercial hard rock style.

They were recently named the 85th greatest hard rock band of all time by VH1.

David Coverdale founded Whitesnake in 1977. The core line-up had been working as his backing band The White Snake Band on the White Snake album tour and they retained the title before officially being known as Whitesnake. They toured with Coverdale as his support band and for both of the solo albums he released, White Snake and Northwinds, between exiting Deep Purple and founding Whitesnake. During the band's early years their music was primarily blues rock (although Coverdale described Whitesnake's early style as "progressive R&B"). At this time, the band was made up of David Coverdale, Bernie Marsden, Micky Moody, Neil Murray and drummer David "Duck" Dowle with keyboardist Brian Johnston. Johnston would soon be replaced by Procol Harum organ player and keyboardist Pete Solley. Because of Solley's producing commitments he was replaced by the former Deep Purple keyboard player Jon Lord, during sessions for the first LP.

After another personnel change replacing Moody with John Sykes and bringing back Neil Murray in place of Hodgkinson, they secured a major record deal with the Geffen label. A remixed version of Slide It In using guitar and bass by Sykes and Murray was released in US in April 1984. Despite Coverdale's misgivings regarding the lack of edge in these new tracks, Slide It In went double platinum in the US on the back of 1987. The Slide It In album led to the album-oriented rock hits in the US: Slow an' Easy, "Love Ain't No Stranger" as well as the album's title track. In Europe the band had success with other songs, Guilty of Love and Give Me More Time. While touring in spring 1984 Mel Galley suffered a broken arm in an accident, leaving John Sykes as the sole guitarist for the remaining dates. A few weeks later, Jon Lord left to reform Deep Purple MkII and keyboard player Richard Bailey was brought in. The tour ended with a performance in front of a crowd of over 100,000 people, at the Rock in Rio festival held in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Galley remained a member -- "he's still getting paid," said Coverdale in an interview -- until he rashly discussed plans to reform Trapeze in an interview, and Coverdale then fired him..

allmusic:
Following up the splendid Saints & Sinners album was no easy task, but 1984's Slide It In turned out to be an even greater triumph for David Coverdale's Whitesnake. From the boisterous machismo of "Spit It Out" and "All or Nothing" to the resigned despair of "Gambler" and "Standing in the Shadow," and the embarrassingly silly title track, everything seems to click. For hit singles, look no further than the twin guitar attack of "Guilty of Love" and the sheer poetry and emotion of "Love Ain't No Stranger," one of the decade's greatest power ballads, bar none. Not to be outdone, "Slow an' Easy" is a masterpiece of sexual tension and the kind of power-blues which no one does as well as Whitesnake. On a quirky historical note, Coverdale fired most of the band soon after the album's release, replacing them with younger, prettier faces with which to better conquer America. For that purpose, Geffen Records even released a re-recorded version of Slide It In with flashy soloing from new guitarist John Sykes, sparking an ongoing debate as to which version is better. [The 25th Anniversary Edition of Slide It In is a deluxe, two-disc (CD/DVD) package. In addition to an edition of the album completely remixed for a U.S audience (the sound is terrific and is tighter than the slicker Brit mix). the CD contains a whopping ten bonus cuts. They include "Need Your Love So Bad," the B-side of "Give Me More Time," and U.K. mixes of all but two of the original album tracks; only "Hungry for Love" is left off. Also "Love Ain't No Stranger," is taken from the live, 1998 Starkers in Tokyo album. The DVD contains promo videos for "Guilty of Love," "Slow & Easy," and "Love Ain't No Stranger," as well as performances from Castle Donington in 1983, a television appearance of "Give Me More Time," from Top of the Pops in 1984, and other sundry concert videos. The set is packaged in a deluxe slipcase with a 24-page booklet featuring rare photos, album outtake shots, lyrics, and an interview with Whitesnake frontman and founder David Coverdale.]

Hi again, HellikXs!

I just posted here, asking to you about this Whitesnake DVD Anniversary release from " Slip Of the Tongue " and suddenly i found it today on another site!

Funny isn't?=}

LOL

And i found too a torrent for the DVD Anniversary release from Whitesnake 1987 ( Trilogy ) but this DVD uses a PAL color system and besides my DVD Player runs PAL discs, the quality image isn't the same( looks like there a kind of LAG on video frames, do you know?..It's weird!!!=/ )

So, i wonder if you have this DVD that i'm talking about to post here, but it'll must be on NTSC color system!

Thank you for you attention, my friend!

Bye!^^

@ Zombie Z

Good for you that you found what you were looking for. As I mentioned, I've encountered some troubles during extraction of this disc and I decided not to put it up, because I couldn't guarantee it would be 100% error free. Even with cautious listen you can miss some noise.
And there were some problems even on clean fresh disc during extraction.

For DVD I believe it is NTSC as Slide it in is. Can't take a look now because I've deleted all my files and it doesn't matter anyway since I am not putting up this DVD as standalone - it is part of package and to me makes no sense. Like I'd publish only 1CD of 2CD album saying that people could get the other CD somewhere else. Even mod could suppress attempts like that, this wouldn't be complete publication
