Genre: Pop/Rock | Label: DTS Entertainment

It's not every day three musicians with such talent as Tim Bogart, Carmine Appice, and Jeff Beck get together and make an album. Usually when musicians of this calabor get together egos and tempors get in the way of the music, thats way supergroups dont last. Appice is one of the worlds best drummers, Bogart is a great bass player, and Jeff Beck is well, Jeff Beck, the man plays guitar like... well I dont know what like but he is amazing! This album however is unlike anyother supergroup album in the history of music because this one is actually good and actually its better then good its excellent!

UFO - Lights Out In Tokyo: Live (1993)
Rock | EACRip | FLAC, M3U, LOG, CUE | 02:37:54 | 1993 | 580MB

This CD, and the band itself, were largely ignored at this point in their career. You could make a good argument that this is really an early Mogg/Way live release, as they are the only "accepted" members in the band at this point. The die hard completists know that excusing this is a big mistake. Lawrence Archer plays lead guitar, very good but not in the same league of his predecessors. I would have loved to hear "Atomic"Tommy McClendon's take on these songs (Paul Chapman's replacement on the two prior releases. Chapman replaced Michael Schenker). They went back to familiar musical territory. Fortunately the album "Misdemeanor", an obvious sell out, was limited to that album alone. This tour was in support of "High Stakes and Dangerous Men". The band actually played & recorded several tracks from that release. Now, after one or two songs from whatever the current release is, the show is primarily "greatest hits" material. Because "High Stakes..." didn't see the support other releases had, this live set is an afterthought as well. That's too bad because this show rocks, just like "High Stakes..." did. It's one of the better albums in UFO's arsenal. Much of the band's best material was written without Michael Schenker, and all era's of the band are represented on this live offering . The tracks include the gazillionth recording of "Love to Love", "Lights Out" & "Doctor Doctor"...of course. Nine of the songs are very familiar tracks. When you add 5 from "High Stakes...", it makes this a must for all UFO fans.

This is a very good album to say the least. If you like bands similar to Guano Apes, Skindred, Bobabflex, Lacuna Coil or System Of A Down to name a few; you will most definitely like this band/album. The album consists of 16 tracks of which I consider 12 to be rateable hardrock songs. This hardrock band is led by a female vocalist accompanied by male backing vocals. ~ Travis Stelick – Amazon.com

This is one of my favorite albums from the early 70's, and until now, just about impossible to find with decent sound quality. It's great to see a proper re-issue coming out. I would highly recommend it to any fan of the early 70's sound. There are a few nice heavy downer rock tracks if you enjoy that kind of thing...

Led Zeppelin's fourth album, Black Sabbath's Paranoid, and Deep Purple's Machine Head have stood the test of time as the Holy Trinity of English hard rock and heavy metal, serving as the fundamental blueprints followed by virtually every heavy rock & roll band since the early '70s.

Great sounding reissue. A perfect replacement for my broken original....

FLAC/CUE/LOG/477.7 mb (+3%)/Covers | MP3: CBR 192 kbps/94.8 mb/covers
Origin: Germany | Genre: Krautrock, Psychedelic rock, rock

After making the transition to more structured music with albums like Wolf City, Hijack and Vive La Trance - Made In Germany was Amon Duul at it`s creative peak. It revealed solid songwriting abilities which featured orchestrations and an array of guest musicians with an underlying theme of old world traditional Germany in the new world. And unlike many European bands such as Omega, Jane and Eloy there`s no problem with the English language here and a lyric sheet is even provided. Originally released in Germany as a double album it was cut down to a single unit for North American release which suprisingly doesn`t detract from it conceptually or musically. If there is one Amon Duul album which captures the essence of 1970`s prog-rock this is it. Renate Kanup one of the few female voices to appear in progressive rock really shines here on compositions like Metropolis, Ludwig and the Blue Grotto. No comprehensive library of 1970`s progressive rock would be complete without this magnificent Krautrock gem.

VC1 1080p (1920x1080, 16:9) | Dolby TrueHD 5.1, Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital 2.0

For Led Zeppelin fanatics, this 1976 feature The Song Remains the Same is a treasure of searing live performances, particularly welcome in light of the sad scarcity of such visual material from the band's great decade. Despite the group's road weariness after a long tour, their final, three-night stand at Madison Square Garden in 1973 was full of the old power. Performances of "No Quarter," "Whole Lotta Love," "Black Dog," "Dazed and Confused," and "Stairway to Heaven" underscore Zep's charisma. Trouble is, you don't get an unbroken performance here. Viewers have to wade through a mishmash of documentary insight into the lives of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Bonham, and John Paul Jones, as well as fantasy sequences supposedly inspired by the thoughts and fantasies of the band's individual members. It's mostly garish and silly, but there are some nice elements, especially insights into the late Bonham's life.

Atlantis - Atlantis
Hard Rock | MP3 192 kbps | 47 MB | 1973

Atlantis' debut album follows firmly in the footsteps of the earlier Frumpy, with one major difference: shorter songs. Just three of the seven tracks break the five-minute barrier, only one — the defiantly Deep Purple jazz-rocky "Living at the End of Time" — approaches ten. But Atlantis rises regardless. The closing ballad, "Words of Love," essentially predicts Heart's entire career, while the funky overtures of "Get Up," colliding with some of Inga Rumpf's finest, gutsiest vocals, would have made a sensational FM radio favorite. The latter portion of "Living at the End of Time," once the band drops the jazz-rock elitism, is spellbindingly fairyland folky, and both "Rock 'n' Roll Preacher" and "Maybe It's Useless" show a Free influence that is quite spectacular. And that, if there is a downside, is where the disappointments lie. At their best, Frumpy's forte lay in their ability to fly off at monstrous tangents without ever losing sight of such notions as melody, cohesion, and discipline. The tangents are less pronounced here, the exploration is less bold and forthright. But the performances are as strong as ever, the songwriting is even stronger, and Inga Rumpf draws out some of her strongest vocals yet to power the band to some brilliant highs.

Atlantis - Get On Board
Hard Rock | MP3 192 kbps | 47 MB | 1975

Under the influence of their U.S. trip, Atlantis recorded the rockier LP 'Get On Board'. It seemed like the band were on the verge of a breakthrough. Sadly, both their highly professional album and subsequent tour failed to achieve commercial success. Consequently, Inga Rumpf and Karl-Heinz Schott announced their departure in January 1976. After the split, the album 'Top Of The Bill', containing previously unreleased studio recordings from December 1975 to March 1976, was released. The ex-members of Atlantis became top studio session musicians and Inga Rumpf launched her solo career. Atlantis was once again submerged in the ocean of blues, but it remains a legendary name in the annals of rock!
