Metallica: Orgullo pasión y gloria. Tres noches en la ciudad de México

Metallica: Orgullo pasión y gloria. Tres noches en la ciudad de México (2009)
Thrash Metal | Blu-ray | BDMV | ~37.80 Gb | FileSonic, FileServe
Video: MPEG-4 AVC, 1080i, 29.970 fps, ~27.5 Mbps
DTS-HD MA 5.1, 48 kHz, 24 bit, 5152 kbps/LPCM 2.0, 48 kHz, 24 bit, 2.3 Mbps

It is a fantastic mix of music with songs off of every album except St. Anger. Great mix of Death Magnetic and classic tallica tunes. The addition of Robert Trujillo in combination with Hetfield getting sober has made the band sound much better than they did throughout the 90's. These guys don't show their age on stage and kick maximum ass. Tearing into songs like Disposable Heros and pulling them off like it's 1986...

The Who - Face Dances (1981) [Remaster 1997]
EAC-FLAC Image with CUE & LOG - 430 MB | Complete Scans | MP3 CBR 320 Kbps - 143 MB
Remixed & Remastered 1997 | TT - 62:57 minutes | Label: MCA Records, Inc. / Cat. # MCASD-11634

Face Dances is the ninth album by the English rock band The Who. It was originally released in 1981. It was the first full new album The Who made with drummer Kenney Jones as a replacement for Keith Moon. Although some jeered at the album, Roger Daltrey went on record saying he liked this album in a 1994 interview. Some critics, notably in the Boston Globe in a review in April 1981, said it was The Who's best album since 1973's Quadrophenia. The album peaked at number 4 on the Billboard album charts (the chart topper was Styx's Paradise Theatre) and number 2 on the British album charts. In 1997, the album was re-released by MCA Records with three outtakes as well as two live tracks.

Magic Slim - The Essential Magic Slim
Electric Blues | MP3 320 Kbps | 147 Mb | 2007
Artwork included

Magic Slim and his band, the Teardrops, have been called the last real Chicago blues band. If they are not the last, they are certainly among the best.

Robbie Williams - Live At The Albert [DVD9] (2001)
Pop, Concerts | DVD Video | DVD-9 | ~5.79 Gb | 01:13:25 | FileServe, Filesonic
MPEG2, PAL 16:9 (720x576) VBR ~7-9Mbps, 25.000 fps | (AC3, 224 Kbps, 2 ch), (AC3, 448 Kbps, 6 ch)

Recorded before the U.K. release of Swing While You're Winning, Robbie Williams's renditions of pop standards on Live at the Albert are at once delightful and disorienting. It's long been known that Williams is enamored of the Rat Pack, and here he lives out an illusion of being one of them. Clearly the jaunty singer is having a ball. The production is impeccable, the chorus girls are beautiful, his voice is in fine form--even his sweat-soaked, cuff-linked shirt hangs on him perfectly. But often Williams's trademark sarcasm and well-documented insecurities overshadow his love of the music. The strangest moment of the show occurs during an intermission, when MC Rupert Everett quizzes the audience on how much they love Robbie Williams. Although delivered with a wink, the stunt is most un-Rat Pack-like. The show as a whole seems like a surreal dream in which Robbie is at once working out his self-doubt and living his fantasy. And on a very conscious level, that is exactly what he is doing.

Charles Lloyd & Friends - Live At Yoshi's, 12 May 2022

Charles Lloyd & Friends - Live At Yoshi's, Oakland CA, 12 May 2022
FM > FLAC (see details for complete lineage | Tracks | No log, No CUE | cover art | ~375 MB incl. 3% recovery
Genre: Jazz, Modern Jazz, Post-Bop | Label: Bootleg | Year: 1999

I got this recording in a trade and discovered later that it had previously been available on dime. The original source is an FM broadcast. The radio programme was called "Sunday Night Sweets" and was transmitted by KCSM and KRML.
The "Friends" joining Charles Lloyd are John Abercrombie, Marc Johnson, and Billy Higgins. With friends like these, who needs a permanent band? Highly enjoyable, strongly recommended.

German Pagan Folk | RAR 3% Rec. | Time: 46:10 | FileSonic, FileServe

Faun’s longtime mix-master/sounds effects man Niel Mitra’s work seems to be a little less prevalent on this, their band’s fourth album. As a result there is both more of an ‘unplugged’ feel as well a greater emphasis on vocals throughout... This album is also quite a bit slower and less tense than either ‘Licht’ (their second) or ‘Renaissance’ (third) albums, although I have to say that if you play back their first four records in chronological order there is a noticeable progression from rougher, almost dark metal-like songs to these mellower tunes highlighting the ladies’ singing and Oliver Sa Tyr’s proficiency on a range of stringed instruments (though quite heavily reliant on Celtic harp and bouzouki).

Sax Gordon - You Knock Me Out (2000)
MP3 320 kbps | 44.1 Khz | 52 min 25 sec | 128.5 MB
Label: Rounder Records, Corp. | No Scans | Genre: Blues, Jazz

At long last, there's someone who's getting people to sit up and notice the saxophone's capacity for bluesy fun: Sax Gordon. Gordon's second enjoyable feature album has a gale wind rushing out of his metal horn's bell. This Boston-based musician wants to transport listeners (and himself) back in time to smoke-filled dives where sax supermen Big Jay McNeely and Gatortail Jackson screeched and wailed while lying on their backs and kicking their heels in the air. In that spirit, Gordon pushes hard on opening track "90 MPH," an obscure funk tune, and doesn't let up till the fade of an original called "Crawling Home." Go hear "Speed Rack," where Gordon cuts loose with a vengeance. He puts over "Bug Hunt" with a swaggering confidence that's equal parts seriousness and screwball histrionics. Gordon has total command of the horn's high and low registers, from stratospheric shrieks to well-deep rumbles. His enthusiasm is boundless. World-class guitarist/album producer Duke Robillard lends the saxophonist expert support on all 13 tunes, sometimes offering well-organized solos in the vein of Elmore James and other heroes. --Frank-John Hadley
