For those of you who were blown away (or even remotely moved by "Vovin") the "Crowning of Atlantis" starts off with a couple of songs in the same vein. This is followed by a rework of Clavicula Nox sung in mostly male opera vocals. Interspersed are three cover songs "Crazy Nights", "Thor and "Seawinds". Of the three only Seawinds doesn't seem out of place. The last three tracks are live tracks of songs from earlier cd's. So what's the verdict? The cd has no cohesion or flow to it whatsoever so it is a bit difficult to listen to. Why Christofer Johnsonn chose the cover songs he did, I'm not sure. However, listened in sections, the songs themselves have merit. I like the new tracks, especially "Mark of Cain" and the live tracks are also a treat. As this is only a filler cd until the next studio work, it's not half bad. If you are a real fan of the band I'd recommend you give it a try. It grows on you. Amazon's Customer
