Chappottin And Chocolate were perhaps the two greatest names of the generation that developed Cuba's jazz-oriented conjunto trumpet sound. Chocolate still records in New York. Chappottin, his equal, was nicknamed the Louis Armstrong of Cuba; he's now forgotten by all but the buffs.
