2007 digitally remastered reissue of the classic album by Steve. The one time member of Gong and System 7, Steve Hillage released 7 studio and one live album in his tenure with Virgin Records from 1975 to 1982. He played an integral part in Gong's rise to prominence and after joining in 1972, he pursed other music interests outside the band. These 8 albums proved him to be as prolific as he was out-there. A string of top 40 albums including the top 10 album "L" cemented Hillage's place at the heart of the acid generation and to this day he is still making music be it as producer, re-mixer or artist.

When the man behind the first Depeche Mode album (plus Yaz, Erasure, and a couple other things) reunites with the man behind all the rest of their efforts (which turned them into a more lyrics-driven group) you'd think the synth pop-and-somewhat-goth fan base would consider their album release a holiday. VCMG stands for Vince Clarke (first album) and Martin Gore (the rest) and their release, SSSS, is hardly what you'd call ambitious, but it is inspired, filled with minimal techno tracks that have identifiable contributions from the two.

The '70s were a fertile period for Manuel Göttsching. Having pioneered the kosmische guitar freakout with Ash Ra Tempel, he had embarked on a new phase by mid-decade. Inspired by minimalist composers Terry Riley, Steve Reich, and Philip Glass, Göttsching traded musical visions of outer space for trance-inducing meditations on inner space. Between 1974 and 1977, Göttsching pursued this new aesthetic on Inventions for Electric Guitar, Le Berceau de Cristal, New Age of Earth, and Blackouts, immersing himself in an electronic environment that often fused his signature guitar work with sequencers and synths. Although not released until 1991, Dream & Desire was recorded in 1977.
