+ Daredevil #116-500 - "Return of the King" Story Arc Complete

Daredevil along with Batman are two superhero properties where, ever since Frank Miller's deconstructions of their characters and mythos, creators are always inspired with the wildest and the boldest of ideas and storylines. In Daredevil #501 Diggle and De La Torre begin with a stark change in status quo: Matt Murdock has broken all ties with his friends and assumed leadership of The Hand, the deadly ninja cult he's been battling since the days of Miller and Klaus Jansen. It's a radical transformation, to be sure, but to drive home the bolt to help seal it Diggle has Daredevil undergo the final initiation that will make him truly the leader of The Hand. In issue #502, the second of Diggle's run on the Man Without Fear (3rd if you count the Dark Reign: The List special) we get to see what Diggle really is doing with the character: he is making Daredevil work within the context of both Ed Brubaker's previous run, and the current "Dark Reign" status quo of the Marvel Universe. Matt Murdock is not really deep into a dark abyss as some would have it; he is merely adjusting his crime-fighting to an increasingly brutal world, using the means available to him. In issue #503 Diggle with some dark visceral artwork from De La Torre shows Daredevil is not just adjusting, but willingly pushing it as far as he can, and more, as he cleans NYPD of its corrupt. And in issue #4, the conclusion to the first story arc since "Return of the King" we see Daredevil taking on Osborne's H.A.M.M.E.R. and again Diggle's characterizations and De La Torre's dark, granular artwork show what a hot and confident creative team at the height of their powers can do. All Minutemen scans.

+ Superman: Secret Origin Issues #1-3

Superman: Secret Origin is a six-issue monthly American comic book limited series written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Gary Frank that has long been announced but finally launched. Superman's origin story, most recently told in 2003's Superman: Birthright, has received numerous retcons and changes in the aftermath of the DC Comics event Infinite Crisis. As such, Superman's origin story in the current DC Comics continuity has yet to be told. This story therefore features what Johns and DC Executive Editor Dan DiDio are calling a "definitive" telling of the origin story of Superman, dealing with his life in Smallville, his first adventure with the Legion of Super-Heroes, his friendship and eventual bitter rivalry with Lex Luthor and his arrival in Metropolis and at the Daily Planet. Dan DiDio decided to have Secret Origin run as its own mini-series, instead of within a Superman title as Johns had done previously with Green Lantern: Secret Origin. DiDio said, "They’ll be doing the definitive origin of Superman as we’ve seen it all take place, and incorporating the changes that we’ve seen or suggested since Infinite Crisis." The series' first issue was released on September 23, 2021 and will run through March of 2010.

Also part 25 of the still ongoing World Against Superman crossover story arc. The story thread picks up where Action Comics #885 left off, which seems to have jumped over Supergirl #49. Action Comics #885 and Supergirl #49 are supposed to be parts 22 and 23, respectively, of World Against Superman. Oh well...

Supergirl aka Kara Zor-El is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics and related media, created by writer Otto Binder and designed by artist Al Plastino. As Supergirl, Kara Zor-El serves as the biological cousin and female counterpart to DC Comic's iconic superhero Superman. Although there have been many precursors, the most prototypical being the Super-Girl character that appeared in Superman #123 (August 1958), the character actually first appeared in a story published in Action Comics #252 (May 1959) entitled "The Supergirl from Krypton." Since the character's comic book debut, Kara Zor-El's Supergirl has been adapted into various media relating to the Superman franchise including merchandise, television, and feature film, making her a cultural icon...

Action Comics is an American comic book series which introduced Superman, the first major superhero character as the term is popularly defined. The publisher was originally known as Detective Comics, Inc., and later as National Comics and as National Periodical Publications, before taking on its current name of DC Comics, a subsidiary of Time Warner. With 885 issues to date, it is the second-highest-number American comic book series, after Dell Comics' Four Color, although Detective Comics, also of DC and also still in publication, is the older title. Detective Comics however is the longest continuously published comic book in the United States. Action comics is second. More recently the title has been part of several interweaving and consecutive multi-title crossover story arcs, the current one being "World Against Superman." After Superman left Earth at the conclusion of the earlier "New Krypton" story arc, he is replaced by the new Nightwing and Flamebird as the starring characters of the series. Also since July 2009, Action Comics includes back-up stories featuring Captain Atom, now on its part 7.

+ Spider-Man: The clone Saga Issues #1-4 Complete

The Clone Saga or Spider-Clone Saga was a major story arc in Marvel Comics which ran from 1994 to 1996 involving many clones of Spider-Man. The story is considered within fandom to be one of the most controversial stories ever told for Spider-Man if not in the comics industry as a whole. The story was intended to wrap up in less than a year. However, the comics sold very well and the writers were encouraged to prolong the saga as long as possible. This led to some changes to the storyline that ultimately proved unpopular. To me there's only one word to describe it: shtoo-pid. That's what happens when creativity and creative freedom is thrown out the window because of greed. Spider-Man: The Clone Saga is the new six-part mini-series based on the outline of the original Clone Saga. Written by Tom DeFalco and Howard Mackie, and drawn by Todd Nauck, this "writer's cut" mini-series will explore the story as it was originally conceived, and will feature the original conclusion while focusing on the basics of the original saga.
