Hot August Night is a 1972 live double album by Neil Diamond. ("Hot August night" is also the opening lyric in Diamond's 1969 single, "Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show".) It is a recording of a Diamond concert on Thursday August 24, 1972, one of ten sold out concerts that Diamond performed that month at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Critic Stephen Thomas Erlewin calls Hot August Night "the ultimate Neil Diamond record ... [which] shows Diamond the icon in full glory."

Cargo is the second album by Australian band Men at Work, released in 1983. Rolling Stone magazine noted that while it lacked a blockbuster hit, "song for song, it is a stronger overall effort than Business as Usual."

Still Crazy After All These Years is a studio album by Paul Simon. Recorded in 1975, the album produced four US Top 40 hits, "Gone at Last" (#23), "My Little Town" (#9, credited to Simon & Garfunkel), "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover" (#1) and the title track (#40). It won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1976. "My Little Town" reunited Simon with former partner Art Garfunkel on record for the first time since 1970.

Summer Breeze is a 1972 album by the American soft rock band Seals and Crofts. It was a major commercial breakthrough for the group, and peaked at #7 on the Billboard album chart, and a single release of the title song reached the top ten as well.

Imagine is John Lennon's second solo album and is considered the most popular of his solo works. Recorded and released in 1971, the album tended toward songs that were gentler, more commercial and less avant-garde than the ones he released on his more critically acclaimed previous album, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. The difference, he said, was that Imagine was "chocolate-coated for public consumption", in reference to the string sections prevalent throughout the album.

One of These Nights is the fourth studio album by the Eagles, released in 1975. The record's title song became the group's second #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100, in July of that year.

There Goes Rhymin' Simon is a studio album by American musician Paul Simon, released on May 5, 1973. It was his most rushed-released studio album. It contains songs covering several styles and genres, such as gospel ("Loves Me Like a Rock") and dixieland ("Take Me to the Mardi Gras"). It received two nominations at the Grammy Awards of 1974, including Best Male Pop Vocal performance and Album of the Year. It was ranked #267 on the list of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
