Yellow Submarine is a soundtrack album released by The Beatles corresponding with the film of the same name released on Apple Records during January 1969

"Only a Northern Song" was originally recorded during the sessions for the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album, although it did not appear there. Most of the song was recorded in February 1967. "It's All Too Much" was recorded just before the release of Sgt. Pepper, although it was shortened (from eight minutes) for Yellow Submarine. "Hey Bulldog" (recorded in February 1968) and "All Together Now" (recorded in May 1967) were always intended for the film soundtrack. "Baby You're a Rich Man" was also originally intended for the film soundtrack, but was released as the B-side to "All You Need is Love" instead and was not included in the Yellow Submarine album.

Two of the songs on the album had previously been released. "Yellow Submarine" had already appeared on Revolver in August 1966 and as a hit single at about the same time. "All You Need Is Love" had been a hit single in 1967 and had also appeared in the United States edition of Magical Mystery Tour later that year. The song made its true stereo debut in this album. The song was previously issued in mono or rechanneled stereo on the U.S. Magical Mystery Tour album. The second side features arrangements (recorded specifically for the album) of George Martin's orchestral score.

After mixed response to the album upon its release, The Beatles considered releasing Yellow Submarine as a five-track mono EP, without the film score but including the then-unreleased "Across the Universe" as a bonus track. The EP was mastered, but never issued. wikipedia

Thank You for the 'All You Need Is Love'-album!
Posted By: freedom2 Date: 01 Sep 2009 09:16:21
Thanks for the now complete Beatles catalogue! And thanks for uploading the sides separately. Not exactly the Beatles finest hour, with only 4 new songs, but nice to have for completeness :-)
Comparing the sound to your Past Masters rips, I really appreciate the mellow tone of the box set discs... it's too bad that the Past Masters weren't included in it. Oh, well...

Thanks again!

when i was young with short money was a BIG deception buy and play side 2 with lots of shhhh from George Martin...what young boy wanted to hear that?!? bah! :-(
"all we needed was" marijuana, rock and girls...got the feeling? (lol)
thank you so much Doctor, was very cool you upload seperated sides. :-)
cheers!

Thank You, Dr Robert for a wonderful set. keep up the good work, I'm sure there will be more to come.

Thank you Dr!
@jorgeluiz: I had the same feeling when I was a boy (with the possible exception that it was my parent's money so I wasn't so concerned), but now I've come to appreciate Mr. Martin's score, so much... that I hated the remastered version of YS when it came out without it, some years ago...
So a big THANKS to our good old Dr. again!

Rapid share will be a problem as a file host. I am uploading to Hot File now and will post links as soon as available.
Posted By: Kel bazar Date: 01 Sep 2009 17:31:08
What have you done to RS, they deleted all your stuff!!!
Posted By: Dr. Robert Date: 01 Sep 2009 18:30:53
@ Kel bazar - Both the Beatles and Neil Young are currently trying to sell new versions of their catalogs. Who needs to buy new Beatles CD's when 24/96 files can be had for free. Neil is trying to sell his old stuff on Blu-Ray. I don't have a BR player. We may have to find a new file host that does not respond to take down requests. Does any know a good Russian host.

@Dr.Robert;

Try making your files an odd size (like 185 or 195 Meg). I read by someone that the file size is a red flag for the bots. I've rarely had an RS link removed and I always have used non standard file sizes.

I guess it's possible the increased vigilance by "the man" is in preparation for next weeks Beatles release(I know I'll be line at Costco to get the box set, not here); maybe they want to hit the ground running and nip any massive sharing in the bud. Makes sense I suppose.

Sorry Folks - It looks like if you did not get a chance to download this by now, you maybe out of luck. Less than a 24 hours online and all links are now dead. There will NOT be any re-post for now. I don't want to get someone totally pissed off and have detectives knocking at my door. If someone else wants to post what they have downloaded as a torrent that will be fine.

Maybe in a few months after 9.9.2009 I'll be able to re-post these Beatles. I am sure that EMI is on the look out for sites like this to stop postings of the new CD's. So get in line to buy another set of CD's.

Don't count on coming to Avax Home to grab a copy of the new re-mastered CD's as they too will probably disappear in less than a day. If you see them pop up you better have your RS account paid up.

That's so sad... my jDOwnloader wasn't working, so I had it queued, not really thinking it would have to be downloaded quickly. Just got Side One, and not Side Two. :( I hope someone will make a torrent of this one.

If someone wants to give me a tutorial on making a torrent (with demonoid access) I can try that, please send me a PM.

Update: I got the Demonoid invite. Many thanks. May be you all can find me there someday soon. I'll give Avax and Rapid Share a few more tries.

I'm very confused. Same problem with my first post (ha ha not very funny)
Maybe dump.ru ?
Thank for your posts anyway. I agree with you when you say that making money with 40 years old music is a little too much.

If any one knows a good Russian file host with an English version please let me know. Whois says Hot File is in Panama, maybe links are safe there. Costa Rica would be safer.

Dr. Robert - I am buying both Mono and Stereo Japanese boxes - $400 plus each - with some stupid badges with album arts [exclusive to HMV Japan]. Despite that one needs these MFSL vinyl rips - the crowd that is downloading this is not the crowd that wants to skip buying the boxes. the ones that will skip buying the boxes are the ones who will download the mp3 @ 128 or 256 later from torrents.

I downloaded all your rips and made them as DVD-Audio discs and life is good :-) - not sure if the new remasters will be warm and analog enough.
