Rocky IV is the original motion picture soundtrack to the movie of the same name. It was originally released in 1985 on the Scotti Brothers label. The soundtrack was hugely successful on the strength of two top-five singles, Survivor's "Burning Heart" (which Sylvester Stallone personally commissioned for the movie and reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100) and James Brown's "Living in America", as well as Robert Tepper's lone top-40 hit, "No Easy Way Out". Album released in 1967 in Spain by the prestigious Decca-London Phase 4, a compilation of 14 songs arranged and interpreted by the Band of the Grenadier Guards in London, the oldest of all the British Army, with more than 325 years of existence, led by then Captain Rodney Bashford, which it did during the period 1960-70 and retired in 1974 as a Lieutenant Colonel with a distinguished military career of music. The album's repertoire includes marches, military movies, of course prior to the date of issue of the LP. The military martial dresses nearly forty minutes of marches grandly interpreted.

Who in 1973 would have thought that the recordings on the just-released soundtrack was the genesis of one of Quebec's favorite bands as we know it? In fact, this album dates back to 1970, when band manager Lucien Ménard orchestrates their fateful meeting with poet/musician/songwriter Pierre Harel, who was also working with Ménard on a new film: "Bulldozer". Harel proposes that the group records the film's soundtrack, and writes the band's first French lyrics. The result is an album that often demonstrates the young Offenbach's progressive tendencies, with completely different versions of the classic songs "Bulldozer", "Câline de doux blues" and "Faut que j'me pousse".

Experience was a posthumous live album by Jimi Hendrix, released in August 1971 in the United Kingdom by Ember Records. The album was intended as a soundtrack to the unreleased film Experience documenting The Jimi Hendrix Experience's performance at the Royal Albert Hall on February 24, 1969. It peaked at No. 9 in the U.K. album charts in September 1971.
