This collection present three classic records by the revered jazz vocalist/pianist Nina Simone.

Gathering three of the four live albums Nina Simone released during her time at RCA, the double-disc package Emergency Ward!/It Is Finished/Black Gold certainly reissues a spate of consistent material. Recorded in 1969 (Black Gold), 1972 (Emergency Ward!), and 1974 (It Is Finished), the set brings back several of her rarest and least-heard LPs. Despite the obscurity of the recordings, there's scattered moments of brilliance here, including loose-groove renditions of "The Pusher," "Funkier than a Mosquito's Tweeter," and "To Be Young, Gifted and Black."

Of all the major singers of the late 20th century, Nina Simone was one of the hardest to classify. She recorded extensively in the soul, jazz, and pop idioms and this collection features several of her rarest, sought-after and least heard albums. Highlights include her 18-minute version of 'My Sweet Lord', 'Funkier than a Mosquito's Tweeter', 'To Be Young Gifted and Black'.

@georudana - Thanks for the alert. Please PM me with details about defects. Cue file works for me with cue splitter and EAC Write CD. Try this alternative set of cue files for both CDs, that have more tag information than ones in OP.
