Evelyn Glennie: Shadow Behind the Iron Sun (1999/2005)
Classical | EAC (APE & CUE) | 362 MB

This album is dedicated to those who are inclined to branch out and explore new sounds but are hesitant to make the leap of faith. As a world-class percussionist, Evelyn Glennie's complex and meaty nature will appeal to the open-minded, and its moodiness and overall proficiency make it worthwhile for anyone else. Moods vary from dark and brooding to exhilarating and light (but never in-between, and always with an avant-garde edge). Not for all tastes for sure, but a compelling listen nonetheless. On that note, I would like to give a big shoutout to those who gave me an extended welcome here at Avax: interzone, pcedric, and recently ciocio along with many others whose name I cannot remember (you know who you are) who have all given their love and support of the avantgarde. Thank you!

Thank you, but take care: Part 4 on Rapidshare seems corrupt. The same part taken from Megaupload works fine. (Still prefer RS, though)

@dudu64

I sent a PM to Avax mods about this but have yet to receive any reply. Something does smell fishy though, eh? Now where the hell are my download links the FTP2Share trashed?!!

@e7h

I guess you forgot to read the fine print at the bottom: 3% recovery record included.

Which means, in plain english, that you can FIX the corrupted file without having to download it again.

Thank you peachfuzz, I am a newbee in recovering, I think. Never understood that percentage and thought it referred to a certain kind of quality check. Any hints where to find an instruction for when and how to fix such a corrupted file?

@ e7h

I've wondered about recovery records for a while and just discovered how to use them in Windows; open the archive in WinRAR and then enter alt + r to repair. I don't know what other programs are capable of using the recovery records; possibly the answer will come up on this page where I got the info originally:

http://avaxhome.ws/music/classical/SW_57.html

You probably already re-downloaded the files anyway, but it could be useful for future reference.

@ peachfuzz

Thanks!
