John Adams: Nixon in China (An Opera in Three Acts, 1985-1987) [REUPLOAD]
Classical | EAC (APE & CUE) | 522 MB
Various mirrors: Rapidshare, Depositfiles, Megaupload & more!

There just hasn't been an opera of this intelligence or this sophistication written anywhere in the last half-century. Adams and Goodman make a thrilling and effective equation between what opera and political summits both do in their different ways: make the quotidian seem "larger than life" (to quote Nixon from his opening aria), blah, blah, blah. I've already quoted this in the earlier post.

Note of interest: I accidently left out disc 3 in my other post, so a separate link for disc 3 is provided for those who already downloaded discs 2 & 3. As for the rest of you, choose the "Download" link to download the album in its entirety.

Thank you very much! I found this opera in the Grammophone disk Catalogue, about 10 years ago, but I never found it in shops. Last spring, I missed it in the opera theatre, because I was away, in professional travel. Thankfully, I will hear all this work!
