| “ | Continuing with with my previous video upload, here is the 3nd Lecture pronounced at Harvard in 1973 by Leonard Bernstein as the Charles Eliot Norton Professor of Poetry during his tenure from 1971 onwards. | ” |
At the end of this lecture, the Boston Symphony Orchestra performs Beethoven's 6th Symphony in F Major, Op. 68, under Mr. Bernstein's baton. The work has been subject to some discussion during Mr. Bernstein's dissertation and will be further analyzed in Lecture No.4.
The previous two lectures can be found here:
Musical Syntax, Norton Lecture No. 2
Musical Phonology, Norton Lecture No.1
Enjoy!
PS:
My apologies to all for having taken so long to post this, but I have had the flu. Many of you may know that Latin America was hard hit by this new Influenza virus. I was not affected by this viral strain but the effects still keep me in bed resting for many hours. So be patient with me! OK! ;-)
