Musical Semantics Norton Lecture No. 3

At the end of this lecture, the Boston Symphony Orchestra performs Beethoven's 6th Symphony in F Major, Op. 68, under Mr. Bernstein's baton. The work has been subject to some discussion during Mr. Bernstein's dissertation and will be further analyzed in Lecture No.4.

The previous two lectures can be found here:
Musical Syntax, Norton Lecture No. 2
Musical Phonology, Norton Lecture No.1
Enjoy!
PS:
My apologies to all for having taken so long to post this, but I have had the flu. Many of you may know that Latin America was hard hit by this new Influenza virus. I was not affected by this viral strain but the effects still keep me in bed resting for many hours. So be patient with me! OK! ;-)

I cannot thank you enough. Obviously the fact that you took/take the time to upload these impossibly rare gems means that you know how worthwhile they are. Presumably for every thankful comment there are fifty appreciative downloaders. And here is one more grateful man.

i almost fainted yesterday when i saw these here,

the leo bernstein's "young's concerts" posts, and learned
about this harvard video series... from then on, I've literally

the dvd's to purchase... even tough the retail disks wouldn't play on my dvd player...
