Aziza Mustafa Zadeh is a classically trained pianist and singer. She grew up in the former soviet republic of Azerbaijan as the daughter of Vagif Mustafa Zadeh, a jazz composer and pianist, to whom lots of Aziza's works are dedicated, and of Eliza Khanom, a singer, who is now her manager. She currently lives in Mainz, Germany. Her music is a blend of jazz, classical piano, and Azerbaijan folk.
Aziza is a talented pianist and an interpreter with a special imaging and sounding shaping gift. Her intricate simultaneous jazz visions found its reflections in a colorful interweaving of accords and humbly-expressive melodic images, associated with rhythm- formulas. Despite the absence of the rhythm-section the pianist managed to preserve the dynamic drive in medium phases in development of improvisations
