By Hollywood standards, the film may be slow and repetitive, but it is precisely the repetition of tragicomic situations that bring the film to the heights of a Beckettian absurdity. As film satires go it's not quite as cunning as Bunuel's best work (which it seems it could have been influenced by) but it's still a funny, sharp and brutally honest jab at the crumbling Soviet government and bureaucratic ineptness in all its forms. Ramaz Giorgobiani's expressionless lead performance is an interesting and eventually necessary realist counterpoint to the often wild and intentionally bloated performances of the bureaucrats. Oh is it this what "harrygee" called blue mountins. I couldn't get it at first because I now it's Georgian Original name in which it's not blue but "light blue". This is my favorite movie! and I also love Eldar Shengelais other masterpieces such as "Sherekilebi"- (mad people) perheps I translated not very well but it's about a guy who's fatehr dies and then he goes to city whrere he has a lot of edventerus and he is even captured and at last he and his "bizia babua" older friend make up a flying mashin and they FLY AWAY:)!

Also another masterpiece of Eldar is "arachveulebrivi gamopena" in english may be "great exhibition" (not sure about correctness of translation)
