Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Graphic Novel
Eng | RS & Hotfile | CBZ | DC Comics | 200 Pages | 58.4 MB

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is a Batman graphic novel mini-series written and drawn by Frank Miller and originally published in single magazine form as Batman: The Dark Knight Returns 1-4 by DC Comics from February to June 1986. This post is the 10th Anniversary Edition TPB; it has the introduction by Frank Miller but unfortunately the Gallery and the original plot with excerpts from Frank Miller's sketchbook are missing. The Dark Knight Returns is often considered alongside Alan Moore's Watchmen, which was released the same year, to be among the first graphic novels with darker, more adult-oriented characters and themes; and, being the among the first, the best. No story in the Batman world is probably more important than The Dark Knight Returns. It was responsible for the rejuvenation of Batman as a dark character, and, together with Watchmen, for the comics industry as a whole. IGN Comics called The Dark Knight Returns "a true masterpiece of storytelling" with "scene after unforgettable scene." Art and Cover by Miller and Klaus Janson, Color by Lynn Varley.

Vowing upon his parent's death to rid the city of the criminal element, the Batman has, over the years, fought crime in its many macabre forms...
For the last ten years no one has seen or heard from him...
that is, until now...

Hailed as a comics masterpiece, THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS is Frank Miller's (300 and Sin City) reinvention of the legend of Batman. It remains an undisputed classic, one of the most influential stories ever told in comics, and is a book cited by the filmmakers as an inspiration for the most recent Batman movies.

It is ten years after an aging Batman has retired, and Gotham City has sunk deeper into decadence and lawlessness. Now, when his city needs him most, the Dark Knight returns in a blaze of glory. Joined by Carrie Kelly, a teenage female Robin, Batman takes to the streets to end the threat of the mutant gangs that have overrun the city. And after facing off against his two greatest enemies, the Joker and Two-Face, for the final time, Batman finds himself in mortal combat with his former ally, Superman, in a battle that only one of them will survive. -- dccomics.com
