Solution - Fully Interlocking - 1977
Vinyl Rip in 24 Bit-96 kHz | Redbook 16 Bit-44 kHz | FLAC | Cue | No Log | Covers | FP*RS*TB | 834 MB + 236 MB
1977 / Genre: Jazz-Rock - Sympho-Rock - Rocket Records - NL

Like the preceding album "Cordon Bleu", "Fully Interlocking" was produced by Gus Dudgeon and released on the label he set up with Elton John. Another name reappearing from Cordon Bleu was engineer Phil Dunne, while Hipgnosis again did the artwork. This time the recording location was switched from Wales to The Sol in Cookham, England.
Enjoy this beautiful relaxed album and successor of "Cordon Bleu"; the recording has a "lifelike" soundstage (great bass!).

Note > No silence was deleted; please burn this album gapless..

Review:

"Fully Interlocking" is one of my favourite albums and evey bit as good as the wonderful "Cordon Bleu". Dreamy keyboards, great sax work and an inspired rhythm section with some wonderful interplay between instruments. The vocals are just OK - never a Solution strength, but most tracks are instrumental except the first and last. The recording quality (on my vinyl copy) is outstanding - the drum intro to Carousel is the best test of a hi-fi ever - and this adds to the spacey feel.
Give Me Some More is particularly excellent (poppy? I don't think so!) and Carousel is marvellous but no track lets the album down at all; it's very consistent and excellent. Jazz fusion at it's best.
