I do not know of a program that can convert pdb (Isilo) files to pdf. If some people know how, kindly inform us or share with us the knowhow for the benefit of the community.
The Isilo program is a great program not only to read pdb files but also to make megabyte images to only tens of kilobyte images with nary a loss in quality. If you try to enlarge a pdb converted image, there is practically no "pixelation" whatsoever.
For those who have to scan a lot, Isilo greatly reduces file sizes compared with other formats. Furthermore, when you compress the file with, say WINRAR, the compression rate is much higher than compressing a pdf file.
But, I am only talking from personal experience. If you want to know more about Isilo, their website is "http://www.isilo.com/". Of course, without the quotes...
I also don't know of any program that could convert pdb to pdf. But, as you said, pdb is a better program for ebooks, and I very well agree. iSilo is a great reader.

Desilx is out there but google only gave me six hits and all of them are in Chinese or Russian. None of them provided any link to the software. If you have it, do you want to share it with us?
I test downloaded two of the books from xakep99's link and it's fast. It "maxxed out" my bandwidth. We just have to rename the files since it is number coded.
