Live in Yakushiji is a deep journey, to inner realms as well as exotic earthly destinations that only Kitaro can deliver. Recorded over three evenings in the sacred Yakushiji Temple in the ancient Japanese capital of Nara. Live versions of the songs, filmed in an old Pompeii amphitheater. Songs included are Echoes, Careful with that axe, Eugene, A saucerful of secrets, One of those days, Set the controls for the heart of the sun, Mademoiselle nobbs (Seamus, but with Rick's dog on vocals). "Careful" and "Set the controls" are shot at night with minimal lighting, setting a beautiful mood. And the live Saucerful just has to be seen, with Waters jumping around in the sunlight banging the huge gong. The 80-minute version features studio footage from the recordings of Dark side of the Moon, with alternate versions of Us and them, On the run and Brain Damage, as well as hilarious interviews with the band (don't miss Waters raving about the great economical collapse, and Nick whining about the crust on the pie).

Shpongle is a psychedelic downtempo or Psybient music project. The members are Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen) and Raja Ram (one third of The Infinity Project). Their sound has sampled eastern ethnic instruments and western contemporary synthesizer-based psychedelic music. Bliss are back with a new album - and this time a couple of things are different. "They made history" is the soundtrack for a documentary produced by Danish TV. The music is a mix of (electronic) Chillout and classical music, a couple of tracks were recorded with a classical orchestra. The borders between electronic and classical titles are floating.
