At an American city zoo, Serbian-born fashion designer Irena Dubrovna (Simone Simon) makes sketches of a black panther. She catches the attention of marine engineer Oliver Reed (Kent Smith), who strikes up a conversation. Irena invites him to her apartment for tea. As they walk away, one of Irena's discarded sketches is revealed as a panther impaled by a sword. At her apartment, Oliver is intrigued by a statue of a medieval warrior on horseback impaling a large cat with his sword. Irena informs Oliver that the figure is the (fictional) King John of Serbia and that the cat represents evil. According to legend, long ago the Christian residents of her home village gradually turned to witchcraft and devil worship after being enslaved by the Mameluks. When King John drove the Mameluks out and saw what the villagers had become, he had them killed. However, "the wisest and the most wicked" escaped into the mountains. It gradually becomes clear that Irena believes she is descended from them, and that she fears that she will transform into a panther if aroused to passion. While she was growing up, the other children had called her mother a cat person and her father had died mysteriously.

Dans un zoo de la ville, Irena Dubrovna (Simone Simon) une créatrice de mode née en Serbie, fait des esquisses d'une panthère noire. Elle attire l'attention d'Oliver Reed (Kent Smith), un architecte américain travaillant dans la construction navale. Finalement Irena l'invite chez elle pour le déjeuner. Alors qu'ils s'éloignent, un des brouillons qu'Irena a laissé tomber nous montre une panthère empalée sur une épée. Chez Irena, Oliver admire une statue, un personnage médiéval à cheval, portant couronne et empalant un chat avec son épée. Irena apprend à Oliver que ce personnage est un roi (imaginaire), Jean de Serbie, dont elle lui raconte l'histoire : pendant son règne, selon la légende, une tribu satanique avait envahi le village où il avait passé son enfance et converti les habitants en adorateurs du Diable. Ayant expulsé cette tribu maléfique et constaté ce que les villageois étaient devenus, il a ordonné qu'ils fussent tous tués. Pourtant, « les plus rusés et les plus méchants » d'entre eux se sont enfuis. Peu à peu il apparaît qu'Irena croit être une descendante de cette tribu maléfique et qu'elle craint d'être transformée en panthère si elle se laisse envahir par la passion, la colère, ou la jalousie.

Mais aussi Mimouna, femme de ménage que les Villanova ont ramenée avec eux d'Algérie, au moment de l'indépendance.Le fils de Mimouna, Karim, et son ami Michel Ronsard entreprennent de tourner un documentaire sur Agathe Villanova, dans le cadre d'une collection sur "les femmes qui ont réussi".On est au mois d'Août. Il fait gris, il pleut. C'est pas normal. Mais rien ne va se passer normalement.

Un bruit de vague lointain berce la nuit. Une chouette hulule. Le chant rajasthani d’une femme résonne dans le vent. Un bouzouq, sorte de guitare orientale, lui répond. Suivent les percussions, caf et pharsi. Avec Titi Robin, la musique se transforme en voyage des sens. En vingt ans et six albums, Thierry dit « titi » s’est construit un univers à lui. Il est né en France, mais c’est dans les cultures orientales et gitane qu’ils trouvent l’inspiration. Sur « Ces vagues que l’amour soulève », une nouvelle fois, ces cultures flirtent sans se mélanger, soulignant le meilleur de chacune. Subtilement, les sonorités ibériques glissent vers un arrangement plus arabisant, donnant à la musique de Titi Robin un tour universel. Accordéon, percus, bouzouq, oud, basse, cajon, guitares, palmas, jaleos se succèdent, dialoguent, parfois, un orchestre à corde les rejoint. Peu de chant, juste assez pour colorer d’humanité les morceaux. Sur ces disques précédents, Titi avait l’habitude d’inviter les musiciens qu’il admire à enregistrer avec lui. Ils ne le suivaient pas forcément en tournée. Cette fois, il a travaillé avec une « bande rapprochée » de musiciens avec qui il travaille régulièrement, comme le chanteur flamenco Jose Montealegre. Sur « Ghazal andalou », ce dernier interprète un chant gitan à couper le souffle. Difficile de trouver plus de mots. Titi Robin touche à l’émotion pure.

When Shimkus demands a commitment, Piccoli runs home movies of his past girlfriends, insisting all the while that he has forgotten them and that Joanna is the only woman in his life. The very next day he's running his movies for still another woman, and the song continues. De L'Amour is based on an 1822 novel by Stendhal (who would have been visionary indeed if he'd included all those home movies!)

Some years earlier, Terry had been a promising boxer until Friendly had Charley instruct Terry to deliberately lose a fight that he could have won, so that Friendly could win money betting on the weaker opponent.

The younger brother got involved with some trigger-happy anarchists and killed some people at an orgy. The police are depicted as the villains who drive the French youth to murder in this tepid crime drama.

Carlos Medina, grande vedette de cinéma, quitte la Côte d'Azur pour aller tourner un film au sud de l'Espagne au milieu des dernières tribus gitanes qui gardent encore leurs traditions, leurs chants et leurs danses. Maria-Luisa, la plus belle des gitanes, est jalouse. Son fiancé Ramphaël s'est fait engager comme guitariste dans la troupe. Jalouse et peut-être déjà attirée par Carlos, elle accepte de tenir le rôle de la Belle de Cadix dans le film en préparation. Une de scènes les plus importantes du film est la cérémonie du mariage. Le figurant choisi étant un véritable roi gitan, Carlos et Maria-Luisa se retrouvent réellement mariés. Les deux jeunes gens s'accusent mutuellement d'être responsable de la situation. Ils se disputent allègrement tout en jouant la comédie du grand amour devant leurs admirateurs attendris... Ils passeront la nuit ensemble... mais chacun dans une pièce séparée. Le lendemain, les prises de vues continuent. La jalousie de Raphaël et de Alexandrine Dupont, fiancée de Carlos, contribue à semer la confusion la plus complète. On apprend alors que le roi gitan n'était qu'un imposteur. Le mariage est donc nul... Carlos part pour Cannes, Maria-Luisa reste à Cadix. Alexandrine Dupont a compris que Carlos et Maria-Luisa s'aimaient d'amour tendre ; elle joue les bons offices et cette belle histoire peut se terminer par le happy end attendu du spectateur depuis 3 heures.

Or parmi les invites figurent le gouverneur de l'Iowa et sa femme qui a ete, il y a longtemps, la femme du SDF assis sous l'Abribus. Le SDF doit rembourser ses RMI car sa femme est devenue richissime suite a son mariage avec le futur president des Etats-Unis et la bigame veut bien entendu eviter le scandale. Alors entre en scene une prostituee de luxe, un directeur ripou et son assistant, et un eleveur de poules experimentales...

(Richard Poulenc faces a nine month prison sentence for social security fraud unless he can obtain a signature from his former wife, Catherine, testifying that they have been separated for ten years. Since their break up, Catherine has started a new life in America, becoming a high profile journalist. When he learns that his ex-wife has returned to France for a conference, Richard tries to force his way into the Paris hotel where she is staying. High Anxiety is a 1977 comedy film produced and directed by Mel Brooks, who is also the main actor. Veteran Brooks ensemble members Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman and Madeline Kahn are also featured. The film is a parody of suspense films, most obviously the films directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Vertigo in particular.

The story begins at Los Angeles airport, where Thorndyke encounters several odd occurrences. He then leaves for the institute with his driver, Brophy. Upon his arrival, he is greeted by the staff, Dr. Montague, Dr. Wentworth and Nurse Diesel. When he goes to his room, a large rock is thrown through the window, with a message of welcome from the Violent Ward. Thorndyke then hears strange noises coming from Nurse Diesel's room and when he and Brophy go to investigate, Diesel claims it was the TV. L'éminent psychiatre découvre peu à peu les patients et les médecins qui semblent lui cacher quelque chose. Victime d'une machination lors d'un congrès à San Francisco, Thorndyke devra faire face à ses crises d'anxiété aiguës pour prouver son innocence.

Een andere relatie ontwikkelt zich : zijn vriendschap met een meisje dat thuis problemen heeft. De ironie die de werkloze gebruikt om zich te verdedigen tegen de gevolgen van zijn nieuwe status, vindt het meisje geen geschikt middel. Ze zet de man aan tot opstand. Een film over werkloosheid, maar voor alles een film over persoonlijke integriteit.
