Top Topham - Ascension Heights
Pure Pleasure Records 180g / Blue Horizon 7-63857 LPx1

Vinyl rip in 24/bit/96kHz & 16-bit/44.1kHz | FLAC | m3u, cue & Log

A heady mix to say the least! It's a varied album, daring in its choices and remember - most are original songs by Topham. "Ascension Heights" is a grower that bears repeated listening.

Great sounding re-issue.... An original is nearly impossible to find. Wonderful release by Pure Pleasure Records!

Alice In Chains - Dirt
Music On Vinyl 180g LP / MOVLP037

Artwork | 1.3 gb/400 mb incl. recovery | RS & FF | Grunge | 1992

Allmusic.com rating: 4.5 out of 5 Stars

Dirt is Alice in Chains' major artistic statement and the closest they ever came to recording a flat-out masterpiece. It's a primal, sickening howl from the depths of Layne Staley's heroin addiction, and one of the most harrowing concept albums ever recorded
- Steve Huey/AMG

Awesome sounding reissue of this 90's rock masterpiece...

Vinyl rip in 24-bit/96kHz & 16-bit/44.1kHz | FLAC | m3u, cue & Log
Artwork | 1.4gb/420 mb incl. recovery | RS & FF | Blues | 1969

Of Muddy Waters' later recordings, it certainly got no better than the summit meeting heard on Fathers and Sons. Fans of Waters' true and natural showmanship, as well as enthusiasts of blues-based rock & roll will find plenty to revisit.
- Lindsay Planer/AMG

Great sound and great performances... Highly recommended for any Blues lover!

815/240 mb incl. recovery | RS & FF | Folk; Songwriter | 1980

Allmusic.com rating: 4.5 out of 5 Stars

With some of his clearest, strongest singing in years and a collection of terse, honest originals, as well as a cover of the Slickers' reggae classic "Johnny Too Bad," Grace & Danger shows John Martyn at the top of his game.
- Brett Hartenbach/AMG

Superb sounding, very personal album by John Martyn, who sadly passed away last year.

The Temptations - Cloud Nine
Speakers Corner 180g LP / Gordy GS-939
Mastered by Maarten de Boer @ EBS, Hannover

Vinyl rip in 24-bit/96kHz & 16-bit/44.1kHz | FLAC (seperate Tracks) | m3u, cue & Log
Artwork | 750/230 mb incl. recovery | RS & FF | Soul, psychedelic Soul | 1969

Allmusic.com rating: 4.5 out of 5 Stars

The resulting freakout became the first half of the stellar Cloud Nine, an album that would become one of the defining early funk sets, with songs that not only took Motown in a new direction, but helped to shape a genre as well. On one side and across three jams, Whitfield and the Temptations would give '70s-era funk musicians a broad palette from which to draw inspiration.
- Amy Hanson/AMG

Not a sonical masterpiece but IMO the best way to enjoy this great soul album.

Kraftwerk - Die Mensch-Maschine
EMI 180g LP (2009) / German version
Vinyl rip in 24-bit/96kHz & 16-bit/44.1kHz | FLAC | m3u, cue & Log
Artwork | 740/210 mb incl. recovery | RS & FF | Electronic | 1978

Allmusic.com rating: 4.5 out of 5 Stars

More pop-oriented than any of their previous work, the sound of The Man-Machine -- in particular among Kraftwerk's oeuvre -- had a tremendous impact on the cold, robotic synth pop of artists like Gary Numan, as well as Britain's later new romantic movement.
- Steve Huey/AMG

Great sounding re-issue of Kraftwerk's most popular record... Stunning dynamics!

Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
Audiophile japanese LP / AMJY-2005~6
Mastered from the original analog master tapes

Vinyl rip in 24-bit/96 Khz & 16-bit/44.1 kHz | FLAC | m3u, Cue & Log
Artwork | 1.78 gb & 550 mb incl recovery | RS & FF | 1975 | Rock

Allmusic.com rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Yes, some of this could be labeled as filler, but like any great double album, its appeal lies in its great sprawl, since it captures elements of the band's personality rarely showcased elsewhere — and even at its worst, Physical Graffiti towers above its hard rock peers of the mid-'70s.
- Stephen Thomas Erlewine/AMG

IMO the best version you can get... The sound is more on the bright side but it offers much more details than other versions. Checkout also the comments on my previous post of this record.

Rage Against the Machine spent four years making their second album, Evil Empire. As the title suggests, their rage and contempt for the "fascist" capitalist system in America hadn't declined in the nearly half-decade they were away.
- Stephen Thomas Erlewine/AMG

Another fine release by the new label "Music On Vinyl"... Good sound!

Ultimately, if there's any disappointment to be had with this near-perfect album, it's that it still towers above subsequent efforts as the unequivocal climax of Rage Against the Machine's vision. As such, it remains absolutely essential.
- Eduardo Rivadavia/AMG

The best way to enjoy this masterpiece....

Allmusic.com rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

While Led Zeppelin II doesn't have the eclecticism of the group's debut, it's arguably more influential. After all, nearly every one of the hundreds of Zeppelin imitators used this record, with its lack of dynamics and its pummeling riffs, as a blueprint. - Stephen Thomas Erlewine/AMG

A great sounding pressing of my favorite LZ album. I prefer this above the MoFi and the ClassicRecords releases....

Artwork | 935/270 mb incl. recovery | RS & FF | Fusion; Rock | 1975

Allmusic.com rating: 4.5 out of 5 Stars

Blow by Blow signaled a new creative peak for Beck, and it proved to be a difficult act to follow. It is a testament to the power of effective collaboration and, given the circumstances, Beck clearly rose to the occasion. In addition to being a personal milestone, Blow by Blow ranks as one of the premiere recordings in the canon of instrumental rock music.
- Mark Kirschenmann/AMG

The first released by Friday Music which is mastered by Kevin Gray. Superb sound!

Allmusic.com rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

This 1973 outing is the album that raised Golden Earring to an international level of popularity, primarily on the strength of the hit single and enduring radio favorite "Radar Love." However, there is much more to this album than just that hit...
The result is an album that retains its power today. In the end, Moontan is a necessity for Golden Earring fans, and a worthwhile listen for anyone interested in 1970s rock at its most adventurous.
- Donald A. Guarisco/AMG

The new label "Music On Vinyl" from Netherlands released this great sounding gem of the 70's. Hopefully more LP's of such quality will follow.

This is laid-back virtuosity — although Clapton and his band are never flashy, their playing is masterful and assured. That assurance and the album's eclectic material make Slowhand rank with 461 Ocean Boulevard as Eric Clapton's best albums.
- Stephen Thomas Erlewine/AMG

Superb sounding issue of Clapton's best album. The search for the definite version is over...

Allmusic.com rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Although Kraftwerk's first three albums were groundbreaking in their own right, Autobahn is where the group's hypnotic electronic pulse genuinely came into its own. Within Autobahn, the roots of electro-funk, ambient, and synth pop are all evident — it's a pioneering album, even if its electronic trances might not capture the attention of all listeners.

The dark yet hopeful tone of After The Gold Rush matched the tenor of the times in 1970, making it one of the definitive singer/songwriter albums, and it has remained among Young's major achievements.
- William Ruhlmann/AMG

Another superb sounding LP from the Neil Young Archive Series. My favorite by the way...
