The countdown to this summer’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen live-action film, set for release this June, 2009, has begun and nearing its end as the official movie prequel also winds down to its conclusion. “TRANSFORMERS: DESTINY” is comprised of two four-part stories covering events leading up to the film. In the first chapter of the DESTINY story arc, ”ALLIANCE,” which takes up the storyline from where the first Transformers movie official comics sequel "Reign of Starscream" left off, readers will learn what happened to Sector 7, what happened to the AUTOBOTS, and why their war on our planet is far from over.

Ender's Shadow: Battle School, is the second five-issue limited series adapted by Marvel Comics from the novel Ender's Game (1985), the Hugo and Nebula award-winning science fiction novel by American author Orson Scott Card. It is the companion series to Ender's Game: Battle School and centers on Ender's friend Bean as he is recruited into the military and cloistered in the training center known as Battle School. Issues #4 and the concluding issue #5 are expected anytime soon.

The release of the latter issues in this series is rather late, #4 released just March 25, 2009. The concluding issue #5 is expected anytime soon.

Characters from Return to Wonderland, particularly the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter, figure prominently. The concluding Issue #6 is yet to be released and is expected anytime soon.

Vincent Price Presents is a new ongoing series, currently at Issue No. 6, started by Bluewater Comics in September 2008 that dwells on gothic horror, the macabre, fantasy, mystery and suspense. It features the late film and stage actor Vincent Price, who is most famous for his body of work in gothic horror and in these other genres, as host; he introduces the story, acts as "muse", lingers in the background and may at times be a leading figure and an integral part of the story.

Girls is an American monthly comic book limited series created by Jonathan and Joshua Luna, published by Image Comics between 2005 and 2007. It tells the story of the people of Pennystown, a community of 63 who are cut off from the rest of the world and attacked by a group of naked, flesh eating, egg-laying women, as well as other bizarre dangers. The first issue was published in May 2005 and the last in April 2007, after 24 issues.
