Comecon was a Swedish death metal project founded in 1990. The band consisted of two guitarists, a drum computer and a session singer; a different one on each album. The debut album featured the Swede Lars Göran Petrov, who was then dismissed from Entombed. Their second album was sung by Dutchman Martin van Drunen (Pestilence, Asphyx). German Marc Grewe, from Morgoth handled the vocals on their final album. All three albums were produced by Tomas Skogsberg.

Dee Snider's idiot charm actually meshes surprisingly well with the childlike wonderment of Christmas. Stray Cats are an American Rockabilly band formed in 1980 by guitarist/vocalist Brian Setzer (Bloodless Pharaohs/Brian Setzer Orchestra), bassist Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom (drums) in the Long Island town of Massapequa, New York. The group had numerous hit singles in the UK, Australia and the U.S. including "Stray Cat Strut", "Sexy and 17", "I Won't Stand in Your Way", "Bring it Back Again", and "Rock This Town", which the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has listed as one of the 500 most important songs in the history of Rock and Roll. In 2004, the Stray Cats reunited for a month-long tour of Europe. A live album culled from those concerts, Rumble In Brixton, their first ever official live release since 80s, is a double disc containing three never before released songs, a brand new studio track (their first since 1991) called "Mystery Train Kept A Rollin'", and a 24-page deluxe booklet containing rare vintage photos of the band's early years.

The Good Son is the sixth album by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, released in 1990. After an album as dark and intense as Tender Prey, some fans were disappointed to hear a relaxed and loving Nick Cave on this record. The change of mood was due in great deal to Nick Cave falling in love with Brazilian journalist Viviane Carneiro, and an apparently salutary spell in rehab which purged the despair and squalor of the previous two albums. However, today, most fans consider this album as a classic that was unfairly judged at the time.
